On November 15, 2019, Friendship Village a senior living community in Kalamazoo, Michigan hosted a recognition celebration as part of National Philanthropy Day to celebrate the nonprofits that their residents support.
At the celebration event, FocusForward was one of thirty-seven nominated non-profit agencies that serve the Kalamazoo area that won this special recognition and was asked to attend the banquet and celebrate their mission.
For more than twenty-five years, FocusForward, part of MidWest Enterprises for the Blind, has a mission to provide employment for people who are blind and visually impaired. The facility is a full-service assembly, packaging, kitting, and fulfillment company that maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification and stands by the products and services that are provided to their customers.
Vicky Hickok, the Administrative Manager at FocusForward said, "It is exciting to be recognized among the 36 other not-for-profit organizations that serve our community here in Kalamazoo! As an e-commerce business, one thing we thought was really cool was how FocusForward implemented a training center to promote professional development and growth by building and enhancing employees’ computer skills. We're very excited to continue working with FocusForward.
We've been really happy with the quality of their work so far, and we hope that both businesses can grow together!

FocusForward made a world of difference in cutting down processing time for our office. This was our first experience working with an outside task force to prepare packages that we would normally handle internally. Throughout the course of the project FocusForward remained responsive, adaptive, and attentive to our needs.
We would recommend FocusForward to anyone searching for an outside solution that is both timely and cost-effectiveShelby Long, Kalamazoo College
